From 2010 to 2011

We all do it.... come the end of each year, we all look back on what we've accomplished and what we've let slide by the wayside. And I, for sure, am no different.

Looking back on 2010, I feel proud to have served my clients to the best of my ability - with care and respect - and never (hopefully!) compromising my integrity. One thing I have learned in this wacky industry of real estate sales, is that there are plenty of agents that are less about their clients and more about their own self-interests. It's not a wonder that Realtors(R) get a bad wrap of the "used car salesman". How unprofessional to wait over 24 hours to return a call, how unprofessional not to respond to email in a timely fashion .... and the list goes on. Whether you're a part time or full time Realtor, the customer is ALWAYS king - period. I promise to always service my client base in a manner that I would like to be served myself. It really helps to keep things in perspective when you treat clients as if they were family - "would I sell my mother or sister this house?"

I'm hoping that moving forward into 2011 that my philisophy of "helping" people and not "selling" people will allow my business to grow. I get a tremendous amount of pleasure matching people with the perfect "home", not just selling them a house. I do feel I get equally emotionally involved - a house is the single biggest purchase any of us will likely make in our lifetime and how exciting a time it is! I've had the pleasure in 2010 of meeting and helping some great people and I appreciate their business and their friendship. Are there things moving forward I would like to change or enhance? You bet! I'd like to ensure I stay in closer touch with my past clients - through email newsletters, home related info, phone calls, etc. As I see it, in order to be someone's Realtor for Life (which is my goal!), you have to stay "in" their life - albeit peripherally (no one likes a stalker! :) ). I'd also like to expand my business - meet new people, help more families reach their dream of homeownership. What a great business to be in - I truly enjoy what I do!

I wish all my clients - past and present - a wonderfully happy and healthy holiday season and much prosperity in 2011!
